Methodology Preview:Functional families and class counts are modeled to Isle of Wight County's ~280 full-time / ~300 part-time positions per RFP-2026-308. Salary, benefit, and pension figures shown here are illustrative, with production data populated from the County HRIS, the Virginia Retirement System (VRS), The Local Choice, and the 12 named comparator jurisdictions' adopted pay plans at engagement award.

Classification Architecture

~205 classifications, organized into 14 functional families

Per RFP §CLASSIFICATION STUDY, the County asks us to compare job functions rather than titles, review existing job descriptions, and recommend where classes should be consolidated or expanded (e.g., a "Clerk" whose duties differ across constitutional offices, or "Equipment Operator" across Public Works and Utilities). Our family architecture lets us tier sub-classifications by function with rigor while grouping substantively similar work for internal equity. Several families run under Virginia constitutional officers and state-supervised Social Services, which the study handles explicitly. Click any family to drill in.
